Is the CLIENT responsible for costs of prosecution or settlement in California medical malpractice cases?

Additional: Costs are almost always paid by Client, either as incurred, or deducted from Client's share of recovery if they have been advanced by the Attorney. Some attorneys will waive repayment if the case gets no recovery, but they don't have to.
