There might be extenuating circumstances, such as doctors might have wanted to stabilize your condition before putting in the stents. Also, did you suffer adverse consequences because you waited that long? To bring a medical malpractice claim, most lawyers will have an expert review all of your medical records in advance. They might ask the potential client to come up with the funds for the review. It's nearly impossible to give you an opinion based upon a one sentence question. There are strict time limits, so if you're serious, you should gather all of your medical records and make an appointment with an attorney to discuss this matter.

I'm glad you're feeling well and, hopefully, you're back on your feet.

Only an 'expert' physician in that field can give you an opinion whether that was actionable malpractice, and then only after full review of your file and hospital records, which you will pay for. Even assuming it was, did you have provable substantial physical and/or financial injury? If you can successfully obtain positive answers to both those, and are serious about pursing this, feel free to contact me.
