Legal Question in Military Law in California

POA for friend taking over payments of an auto

I have a friend of mine who is now making the payments on my car... His payments are direct deposited from his military pay so im not worried about him not making the payments. But he says he needs a Power of Attorney so that he can get base stickers for the car. Can you please tell me what kind of POA i would need and if there is a template that I could purchase and fill out. Thank you!

Re: POA for friend taking over payments of an auto

You may need a special or limited POA. This POA limits the agent's authority to only a specified matter. You can purchase this form online. However, this form cannot replace the advice of an attorney. Your friend and you may be able to go to the legal assistance office on base and have a POA drafted free of charge.

Other notes:

If you went with your friend to get the stickers, your friend would probably not need a POA. Also, I would check to see if your friend can receive stickers for your car.
