If you allow an unlicensed driver to drive your car, any third party who is injured can sue you for "negligent entrustment" in unlimited amounts. The unlicensed driver to whom you foolishly entrusted your car can't sue you, the vehicle owner, unless there was some mechanical defect in the car that caused the accident.
