Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I was booked in to the Sacrame county jail early approximately 5am 3/26/11

At the time of booking the CHP had inventoried my medications and placed them with my property.

I told the officers and the booking nurse that I needed my pain medication and my depression medication.

I told the nurse I was on prozac and that it could be dangerous for me to just stop taking it.

About 36 hours later I had a inmate classification interview with a deputy and told her of my condition, she wrote a psychiatric referral and told me it would be a few days before i could see anyone.

I was not released until 3/30/11 and went the whole time without any meds. the environment was such that I was afraid to ask for help for fear of reprisals from the staff. The physical pain was tolerable but the anxiety and insomnia the comes with prozac withdrawal were very difficult.

I intend on filing a complaint with the department. I am wondering if there is a chance for money damages?
