Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

California, my aunt wrote vicious lies thru email and court system about me because her husband, my uncle, told her we were having an affair and in fact he raped me. Now I want to sue her for all the things she has told people and my ongoing emotional problems due to this

I am sorry these events occurred. You can sue anybody for anything. Possible bases for a lawsuit could be libel, slander, and/or invasion of privacy; and could include "vicious lies through email." In general, you have up to two years to sue. Also in general, you can't sue over statements that someone told in court or in connection with court. proceedings. Suing people is expensive and time-consuming, if you are still interested you need to call a lawyer. Watch out for legal time limits.
