Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

i was in a car accident in a friends car and i have no license, will the insurance cover it and what can happen to me if insurance claims are maid can i be sued personally for the costs? would i be better off paying out of pocket and making no claims?

There are many answers to your questions. Maybe more questions to ask. 1) Did your friend have insurance? If yes then they should cover your friends car, unless you were an excluded driver on the policy. 2) If claims are made by others against you your friends insurance should cover, again, unless you are an excluded driver. 3) Have you reported to DMV, all accidents that result in personal injury or property damage in excess of $750 are supposed to be reported. (This is not to say that they are). Even if you pay out of pocket, someone could still make the DMV report.
