What is the difference between personal injury- defence, and personal injury- Plantiff?Can a attorney represent both sides? Thanxs

Although it is uncommon, an attorney can represent both kinds of clients. I do. The only thing is that you must be careful not to accept a plaintiff case that would involve suing one of your defense clients due to the conflict of interest.

An attorney cannot represent both the plaintiff and the defendant in the same case, but many attorneys -- myself included -- represent plaintiffs in some cases and defendants in others. As long as no conflict arises (and any conflict which does arise is disclosed and waived), there is no reason an attorney must represent exclusively plaintiffs or defendants.
