Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
my friend was drunk driving my car and my insurance expired 5 days before the crash. I got it reinstated the morning of my crash and was wondering if my insurance will cover the damages still?

If it was, in fact, reinstated before the crash, yes they should provider coverage.

As stated before, IF your insurance reinstated BEFORE the accident then you should be covered. HOWEVER, that being stated if it was reinstated after you were aware of the accident then technically, you were NOT insured at the time and the carrier would be able to avoid being obligated for this accident.

Knowledge of when the crash occurred should not effect coverage. Either there was insurance before the accident or there was not.
