Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Injury from ''friend's'' powered wheelchair

I have a documented 40% disability and was asked by a ''friend'' on December 17, 2006 at approximately 9:35 p.m. to assist her in getting to bed. She is disabled as well and has a powered wheelchair. The wheelchair was left in high power mode and in the attempt to reach her the wheelchair smashed into both of my legs. I was in extreme pain leading me to believe the right ankle and foot were broken. Another friend gave me ice for the leg and I am having continued pain in both legs.

Re: Injury from ''friend's'' powered wheelchair

If the friend has homeowners or renter's insurance, it might cover your injury due to your friend's negligence. Please see a doctor!
