Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Hello, I've been involved a in minor fender bender (in CA) of which the cost of damages are below $750. I understand if the damages are above $750, I would have to report the accident to the DMV regardless who is at fault. My insurance company has advised that although if it's below $750 but the other party reports it, there is a likelihood that I could get my license suspended. Is this possible? If the damages are below $750, and the other party reports to DMV anyway, will I get my license suspended? Can I show proof it was under? Please advise. Thanks!

There is no such thing as body damage that comes to less than $750. Report it.
