Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

We found problem with the window seals with a home that we purchased one month ago. Our home inspector found four window with bad seals and the seller advised that they would be inspected further and would advise. During the walk through, we asked our agent (same company that represents the seller) the status of that window inpsection and she advised that were inspected and were fine. We've had further checks who have found many defiencies with many window seals.

Is the previous owner responsible and does the real estate firm partially at fault?

It sounds like the agent is the one entirely at fault. They should not have allowed you to remove the inspection contingency without the issue being dealt with, and it sounds like they lied to you at the walk through. If your removed the inspection contingency, which you had to do to close, the sellers probably have no liability to you. It's the agent you need to go after.
