Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Homeowners Vs. Board of Directors' decision

Our HOA Board of Director's has contracted for, without advising us Homeowners, a major change to our common area pool which will significantly decrease the value of our property. How can we stop this project before the damage is done?

Re: Homeowners Vs. Board of Directors' decision

The first step is to get an up to date copy of your H.O.A. bylaws and a list of current members. You may need a majority of homeowners to agree to stop the major change. If you can form a group of members willing to speak to an attorney, you may well find that you have the law on your side.
