Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Mobile Home

My mother and I purchased and have paid off our mobile home which is in our names only. She is in her elder years and my sisters are feeding her to leave her half of the home to them. Can she Will her half to them?

Re: Mobile Home

A mobile home is subject to different rules than a regular home, so I'm not certain. Because my guess is probably better than your guess, and because nobody else has posted a response for you . . . the answer is "probably."

You could buy your mother's half from her now (via a written contract with a payment plan). That way, your mother would not own a half to give away.
