Picketers on commercial property

There are picketers on our private commercial property. Due to other business being in our complex they have the right to picket on our property ive been told. If they leave their picket signs on our property do we have the right to dispose of them?

Re: Picketers on commercial property

First, the issue is where are they picketing? On your property, or the private, common area owned by the property owner? If so, you or the owner of the commercial property can call the police and complain that they are trespassing. You may have trouble, however; getting the police to act on the complaint is another matter. Where they are not clearly trespassing on your property, but are on "common area" of a multi-unit complex, they police may be reticent to do anything about it. If, however, they are out at the public sidewalk or on a right-of-way (most professional picketers know where they can and cannot be), then you can't do anything about it. As for disposing of their signs - not unless they are clearly on YOUR property. If they are anywhere else, including common area, leave them alone.
