Real Estate and Co-Ownership
I am no longer with my ex boyfriend but we have a home in California that I own half of and would like to get out from under the home. How do I force a sale or refinance so I can reinvest somewhere else without him. We have been apart for 1 1/2 years and he in just this year paying the mortgage by himself. The home is in the 94520 zip code area.

A partition action can be filed. Normally a strong letter may resolve this case into a settlement that you may be satisfied with. Please contact us if you need any assistance.
