Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Rent

I have a month to month rental agreement that indicates that rent is due on the Fist of the Month in advance. My tenant gave notice on the 10th of the Month that they are moving on the 10th of November. We are diligently trying to rent the unit by the 10th of November, however should that not occur do I have to rebate the balance of Novembers Rent from the day they move out? Or do they owe for the entire month of November? (CALIFORNIA RENTAL).

Re: Rent

A month-to-month tenancy can be terminated upon 30 days' prior notice by either party to the other, unless the lease provides for a different procedure. It is not necessary to give notice on the anniversary of the tenancy or on the rent-payment date.
