Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Running of member for board of dirrectors on an H.O.A.

It is election time to pick new board of dirrectors to serve on the board at our h.o.a. Two of the candidates we feel are not members in good standing and should not be able to run or be elected. One we are in litigation with and the other is behind $2500 in h.o.a. dues. We can't find anything in our CC&R'S that state a member in good standing or not CAN'T run for the position. Is there anything under any law that can keep them from running, hopefully?? Thank You, President of the board.

You could attempt to persuade other homeowners not to vote for them. Try printing some buttons or bumper stickers.
