Can you be evicted for parking in the alley behind the townhouses you live in. If you only do it on occation?

You have not supplied enough information. What does your lease say, the CC&R's, any signage in the alley, is it clear that you would be blocking others by parking their, are you covered by local rent control/eviction control laws, etc. Guessing at what these documents state, yes you can because alleys normally are not for parking. That you have done it only a few times does not really matter; doing it 1-2 times might, but you imply that it is your habit to do it fairly often. See if you can work out a compromise with your landlord; if you pay the rent on time and otherwise are a good tenant, promise that you will voluntarily leave [if apologizing and promising not to do it again is insufficient]if you do it again and that it will be an expensive to him to have the place vacant until he finds a new renter who may be a bad tenant.
