Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California
sexual harrassment outside/inside the workplace
I was sexually harrassed by a teacher I work with and
after the incident he continued to harrass me at work.
He threatened me by saying that he gets along very well
with the principal. He also told other teachers that I
work with that I for some strange reason thought that he
was trying to come onto me. These teachers came to
me and advised me about all the awful things he was
saying. He has also harrassed other female teachers
at work but they are not willing to come forward. I feel
very uncomfortable and I've found another job. How can
I approach this in a legal manner?

Did you report his behavior to the principal? To anyone at the top? If not, you can pursue a claim against this individual, however, the school and district may have a defense if not reported IN WRITING... CALL 800-685-6950

File a claim with the DFEH within one year of the harrassment or the time that you quit. You are entitled to loss wages, lost earing capacity, and general damages. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
