Legal Question in Social Security Law in California

Ex usung social security number

My husband just received his credit report and noticed there are several addresses and name veriations used on it. These addreesses are where his ex wife has lived and even her current address. She even used her new husbands barracks number as one of the addresses. She uses the number to get into our bank accounts, trying to apply for credit, looking up his credit, and looking into his pay check. She will always have his social security number and the information she needs to check up on him. Is there anyway we can stop her from doing this? It is getting annoying and we are tired of her always in our business adn using him for things. Can he file for a new number so she will have no way to check anything? Also when you are granted a new social, does that earase pryor credit, job history, etc.? Thank you for your help.
