lost my drivers license

i have a state id but i lost my license can i drive and if i get pulled over can they scan my id to see that i have a license. i also was wondering if a passport would work

Only a driver's license will work. Go to the DMV and order a new license. That will be a lot cheaper and easier than going to court for a ticket. You also risk your car being impounded for 30 days at your expense.
