Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My aunt passed away in California. She was both a Canadian and American citizen. Can I as a Canadian act as her executor in California?

Yes she can act. Was she named Executor in a Will? Was there a Trust? I think you will need local counsel to handle any Probate in California, assuming your aunt had assets requiring Probate.

she will have to post a bond also even if a valid will waives the requirement she do so.
