Distributing Funds from Probate
At what point can the administrator start distributing funds? My sister is the administrator of my mother's estate and when I ask her this question she says she does not know. She has been this way through the entire process, not really keeping me informed unless I push her into it. I would like a portion of my funds to deposit into an IRA before tax day! 4/8/05 there was a waiver of account and for final distribution There is an accounting review hearing on 4/29 and on 5/5 a hearing for filing of receipts and final accounting.

Generally, disbursement does not take place until after the final accounting is approved and an order for distribution is issued by the court.
