Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

my father and mother formed an ABC family trust. After the death of my father my mother started having amendments to the trust changing parts of the original trust papers. Is this legal and or dose she have the legal rights to change anything after my father died?

Depending on what the ABC family trust states, typically a portion becomes irrevocable at first death. That portion can not be changed. Whatever is your mother's share of the community property and the portion of the trust that remains revocable, is the part that can be amended or restated or revoked.
