Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

living trust changes/alterations

I cross-out, white-d out names and percentages... and over the parts white-d out I wrote in ink different names and percentages... does this totally invalidate a living trust? even if I initaled the parts I made changes to?

are the parts or pages that I didn't make changes to still valid?

can I try to scrape off the white out and then make an amendment if it's legible (which it probably won't be)?

Thanks.

Re: living trust changes/alterations

You may have invalidated the trust, and definitely invalidated the pages altered. A trust should be notarized, as should amendments to the trust.

I would suggest that you meet with an estate planning attorney soon.
