What do you l;mean they bought it in yuir name? If they registered the car in your name then you are the legal owner and it is not in their estate. If they presented the car to you as a gift and you took actual possession then it is your car although they should have filed out paperwork to show it was a gift. Ask the lawyer to give you his/her complete rationale for saying it was still owned by your parents, and then re-post the question with the additional information.
