Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My son is going into the Military and wants me to have a General Power of Attorney to handle things if he needs or wants me to. I am already joint on his bank accounts and beneficiary on his life insurance. Can I legally be his Attorney-In-Fact on a General Power of attorney or does this cause somekind of conflict of interest?

That shouldn't cause a conflict of interest. Normally, parents appoint their kids as agents and hold joint bank accounts with them without any problems. In your case, its the other way around.

Perfectly legal, fairly common, and quite wise.
