Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

In california does a employee on workerscomp have the right to refuse the medical treatment the doctor is precribing? I.E. the doctor the W.C. insurance co. sent me to wants to do epideral cortizone shots. I have requested a QME and have an apt in 40 days. Do i have to go get the shots while I wait for the QME or will they stop my benifits?

No you can reject any treatment you don't want. QME doctor may recommend the same thing but he may not and then insurance company will certainly refused to pay for injections. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
