Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

California Indian casino workers comp

I hurt my back working at a Indian Casino( I'm a dealer) After sending me to the emergency room they sent me to their Orthopedic doctor 100 miles away from my home, and he of course says it's not work related, now the Indian's casino has denied the claim, and tell me I have to appeal to them only!

I will appeal but want to know if I have any options in Federal or State workers comp court? I can only appeal on the errors the doctor wrote about, but can't afford my own workers comp doctor, if the casino aren't going to pay. I'm being treated by my own HMO but as a non workers injury, so they can't help.

I want to know my options?

Re: California Indian casino workers comp

w/c law at an Indian Casino has a different set of laws and different jurisdiction. I do California State law workers' compensation law. However I have had a couple of Casino cases in which I found that there was actually Calfornia jurisdiction. It is worth pursuing. You can call me for free consultations and we can explore further. If I am unable to take the case I will look for someone who can help. I'm happy to do this for you at no charge. you may email me at:
