Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I am dealing with a insurance company in california and come to find out my attorney works for the same insurance company that they are representing me aganist. What can i do this seems to be a majior ethics issue.

That would be a major ethics issue, if it is true. In that case, you can dismiss the attorney and substitute a new attorney in his or her place. You can find a new workers' compensation attorney in California by going to the website for the California Applicants' Attorneys Association at www.caaa.org.

Ask the attorney to explain the situation and why he is not in violation of State Bar rules. If there is a violation, get the attorney to substitute himself out of the case and agree not to charge/waive any attorney fees, consider reporting him to the insurance company and the state Bar. But first be sure there is a violation.
