Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

The doctor who is treating me suggested a surgery.

I was injured last Aug.04,2001. Kept me working for 2 months prior to my injury. After my MRI last nov. 16,2001, the doctor prescribed surgery coz of my 2 vertebrae deterioration in my neck. Do I have the right not to perform the surgery due to my dream that after my surgery I was paralyzed?, Iam so scared, but there's no more remedy to my pain except surgery. Iam just thinking to settle my case since it's been a year since my injury. Please help me!!!

With a serious injury as you have sustained, it would be a very serious mistake not to have an experienced worker's compensation attorney review your file prior to any settlement. It could easily mean the difference of 10's of thousands of dollars in your settlement. The worker's compensation system is very adversial. The insurance companies will get away with anything they can. They will pay you the minimum on your claim unless you obtain representation to protect your interests. The worker's compensation insurance companies have attorneys, why don't you? Attorney fees are limited by law to 9% to 12% of the final settlement or award. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
