Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Hurt on the job, and my employer tampered with Dr. Report

I work for a worldwide construction co. I was hurt on the job, and reported it. My safety supervisor took me to the doctor. after several visits at the clinic. The Dr. sudjested theropy. My safety supervisor was very upset because of what it would do to the companies cal osha recordable record, and feared his job. he called his superiors and asked if he could take me to another Dr. who would not say I needed theropy. I feared for my own job if I were to disagree. The new Dr. released me as sudgested. I am still injured. And fear bringing up mu injury. And the injury gets worse daily. I may not be able to keep hiding the pain. What can I do??

Thanks for your posting. You have the right to receive treatment and report a work-related injury, period. There are penalties that are quite severe for employers who hide injured workers, or for doctors who wrongfully report or release injured workers. You can and should report the injury to the employer's compensation insurance company, and have the original doctor or a new doctor examine you presently. I would also recommend you get a lawyer to fight for you, considering the facts.
