I was late to work due to a doctor's visit pertaining to Worker's comp. Do I still get paid for the time I missed that day?

An employer must pay you as though you were at work when yo go for health care services because of a WC injury. You are doing a favor to the employer to do it before or after work. Obviously not all injuried employees are going to be able to schedule health cre visits before and after work hours, so the law permits you to go during normal hours too. You do not even have to try to schedule it for non-work hours. Also, you are entitled to transportation expense for going to and from the health care. Contact the WC insurance carrier and get them to tell your boss so that it does not seem as though you are causing trouble.
