Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I'm a secretary and have been experiencing pain in my shoulder for some time due to holding the telephone between my ear and shoulder. I haven't reported it because I would shift the phone to the other side and this would make the "knot" feeling go away. However, I recently started working with a personal trainer and after a few workouts I now have strong pain in my neck, back & shoulder in the exact area of my "telephone knot". The pain has been radiating down my arm - which I have also had some numbness in (prior to the exercise). Would this be covered under WC or personal?
