Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Can a workers comp case be continued ...

Can a workers comp case be continued even though one no longer

works for that employer?

My wife is being treated for a neck injury received while at work. The

treatment is covered by workers comp. She has been being treated for

the last 6 years. Her last evaluation is that she will need to be treated for

life. in the meantime I have relocated to a different city in California and

my wife will be terminating her employment with her current employer

(the employer who is also funding the workers comp case), and will be

joining me.

Will her case automatically be closed by workers comp or can she

continue to receive treatment? What are her rights?

Your wife's workers compensation rights travel with her.

If the insurance company makes life difficult for her she should see a workers compensation attorney where you move to.
