Re: common law

In British Columbia, possibly. It would depend to a great extent on how this money was used, held and/or invested during the 19 years relationship, and also on how the parties treated other finances. The questioner has not given enough information to definitevily anser the question, and the full facts required to do so would be too comples and too much for LawGuru. the questioneer should seek advice from a B.C. Family Law practitioner.
