Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Canada

House Deed

I recently turned 18, and my father had told me in the past that once I reached this age, my name would be placed on the house deed. My parents are divorced, and my father is now deciding to sell the house, without consulting any family members, who are all against this decision. Can he do this without my mothers and my consent?

Re: House Deed

If your father is the sole registered owner of the house and if you have not paid him anything for a share and if you have no agreement in writing signed by your father in your favour then --YES he can do what he likes with his property.
