Legal Question in Business Law in Colorado

I booth rented at a salon and gift certificates for my specific services were paid through and redeemed through me. The salon provided gift certificate paper and we loged all gift certificates in the salon computer. I have now left that salon and the owner is saying I owe her the money of the unredeemed gift cerfiticates even tho I made it clear I will still honor the non-expired ones at my new salon as my business had already been paid for them. Is she right in saying I owe her the money? They could very well expire and never be used and they were purchased through my business. I feel like I should have never logged them with the other gift certificates as I technically did not need to since it went directly through my business.

The answer lies in part with any contractual agreement you had with the salon. But I think she is correct. The monies were paid in advance for services to be rendered at her salon. Not for services to be rendered somewhere else.
