Doing Business As Companies

In the event of a DBA being sued, how far does the financial liability extend? Does it extend to the parent company? Does it extend into the other DBA's that the parent company is operating under (other businesses)?

Re: Doing Business As Companies

If the parent company has a DBA then that company is liable for the DBA actions. The DBA is not an entity at all, so you can have 50 DBAs and the liability only flows to the entity, if there is one.

If the DBAs are held personally, then the person is entirely liable.
