Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado
mechanics lien?
a mechanic supposedly fixed my auto but the next time i drove it, it did the exact thing before he fixed it. he said go drive it and i will tow you in. anyway, four years later i get a bill and that was 3.5 to 4 years ago since i was billed. does he still have a right to his money?

Re: mechanics lien?
Generally the time limit to collect on a liquidated debt (one whose amount can be determined) is six years, so legally he is entitled to collect.
Morally, because you don't indicate you ever had to be towed back in after more than four years, or have the car fixed elsewhere, he's probably entitled as well.
