Legal Question in Technology Law in Colorado

Who owns pictures

A Contractor performed work on my home and I was unhappy with the results. However, he has put pictures of our house on his web site. I have written several times to him to have them removed, but he will not do it. I do not want to provide him with free advertising and really want them removed. I never gave him permission to use them. Can he use these pictures even if I have told him to stop? Is there an internet law about this? What should I do?

Re: Who owns pictures

Without actual permission ( in writing or otherwise) his use constitutes invasion of privacy and commercial exploitation.

I would want to review all contracts you have with the contractor, then likely issue a Cease & Desist letter.

Call me Friday if you would like to pursue.
