court order pension money

how do I get the money (50% )from my exhusbands retirement pension as per the court orders in our final divorce papers 8/16/2005 ?Can I get it without attorney? What form? I have more ques..one at a time.Thanks

If your decree order a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (commonly abbreviated to QDRO) then all you have to do is write a QDRO that conforms to the law (fairly simple) and the pension company's policies (generally fairly straightforward). There is nothing you have to have a lawyer to do for you, a major advantage that a lawyer will have is he/she will have some previously prepared QDROs that they can refer to, so that only details have to be worked and worded out. There is no mandatory form for QDRO.
