Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

Do I have any legal right to retrieve my engagement ring form my ex fiancee? we were engaged 3 years ago and it ended about 2 1/2 years ago. She has said many times she will return it when she is ready. That hasn't happened yet. We were never married, and the Ring was not given as a gift, but as a commitment of our love.

It depends. For Colorado the general rule is that ring is a conditional gift that must be returned under certain conditions if there is no marriage. If the donee (the one receiving the ring) breaks the engagement or it is ended by mutual consent, the ring must be returned. See the case In Re Heinzman.
