Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

Someone was trying to serve me legal papers and instead of giving them to me, they left the documents on my front porch. Does this mean I was legally served???

As a general rule, the service must be made to a person as allowed under the statute. If an allowed person did answer and refused the papers they may be able to leave them. As usual, the answer depends on more facts and you should contact an attorney to discuss the matter and may want to challenge the service if it was in fact inappropriate.
