my rights with my daughter

my 2 and1/2 daughter and i are about to go to colorado for a few months to give my daughters daddy and our family one more try. she has his last name but i have taken full responseabilityof her for the last 2 1/2 years with little help from his parents. if i go out there is there anyway that they (him and his parents) if we decide to leave try to keep my daughter there or keep us there because he has a job and i dont???? please help im leaving soon and need to know my rights.

While there is no way to predict what he might do, you'd certainly strengthen his ability to seek custody there by going there. While no lawyer can tell you what to do with relationships, it amazes me that someone would even think of moving across the country with their children to be with a man who has not taken care of his children. That's pretty incredible, and I suspect most mothers wouldn't dream of risking it. At a minimum, I'd hire a lawyer before you go to review your rights.
