Legal Question in Family Law in Colorado

RElocation Motion in play

My divorce was through CO and was

final in March of 06. in Dec of 05(w

exs permission) in moved back to NY

where family was. My ex moved to

CA(Jan. of 06) and remarried 2 mths

after divorce was final. He spent 9

mths in CA and then moved to NY. I

am engaged and looking to move to

NC where my fiance has a well

paying secure job. I have filed

necessary motion through CO. What

are my chances? Can a NY lawyer

stop or halt papers already in play

through CO courts if our divorce was

through CO?????

THANK YOU!

Re: RElocation Motion in play

Depending on Colorado's practices and what is in your divorce judgment, you may have to petition here in NY. An attorney may file a petition here since all of the parties are here. You should speak with an attorney to prepare for the possibility of a NY case.
