Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Colorado

trees killed by tree company

The company that takes care of our lawn used the wrong chemicals and killed two mature trees. Are they responsible for the replacement value of the trees or just the replacement with new, much smaller trees (what they are offering)

Re: trees killed by tree company

They are responsible for the value of the damage they caused. They are required to "make you whole." They owe you for the full value of the trees they killed, not a cheaper substitute. If they don't live up to their obligations, small claims court is designed to handle such situations.
