Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Colorado

jailed with no psych evaluation immediately after suicide attempt

About 10 years ago a 19 year old hung himself from a tree in the front yard. His father cut him down. There was an ambulance which responded, but the police took the 19 year old directly to jail. He was in the same population as all the other inmates, his rope burns still visible around his neck. He never recieved any counseling or mental evaluations.

What specialty practice type attorney can I contact about this injustice?

Re: jailed with no psych evaluation immediately after suicide attempt

A personal injury attorney handles this type of claim. Don't be surprised if too much time has gone by, however, and the statute of limitations bars the presentation of the claim at this late date.
