real estate trasfer by Quit claim deed

a time share was transfered by Quit claim deed with out any written agrement. the dues of $275.00 was not paid on one prior year,nor was there title work done nor was it requested.the owner now wants to be paid for the dues for the prior year.is there any law that says that the dues must be paid. I do not understand statue of frauds and does it pretain to this.

Association dues must be paid or the Association can foreclose on the unit. If the current owner obtained a deed without discussing monies owed with the seller, they may still be liable for the dues if there was an oral agreement that can be proved.
